What does a mobile phone have to do with Sherlock surviving?
Moffat said that Sherlock did something ‘out of character’ in the final episode which is the key to understanding how he escaped. But so far all that’s being mentioned is the tear on his chin, which Moffat seems to say is not the clue.
What about him actually using his mobile phone to call John? He said it himself that he ‘prefers to text’ and a suicide note translated to a mobile phone would be more a text message than a telephone conversation. In fact, I believe that is the only time we ever see him using a mobile phone to call someone in the two series.
But the problem then now is, how would a phone call to John show how Sherlock survived?
